About Yoder Bridge

Yoder Construction was originally founded in 1968 in a small farming community in southern Iowa by a hard working, highly motivated young man named Toby Yoder.

Toby soon discovered that his specialty would be in concrete wall construction. So he put together a crew and started building basements for new homes and under existing homes as well.

The business flourished and in just a few years Toby became one of the most sought after and highly respected contractors in the area.

LtoR: Arlyn Yoder, Toby Yoder.

In 1979 He decided it was time for a change of pace so he sold the business, loaded up the family and moved to Paris Tx. to pursue another passion in his life, farming.

Farming was tough in the 80's. He realized he would have to go back to doing what he did best, building concrete walls. Toby was able to buy back the aluminum wall forming system that he had sold when he left Iowa. He was now back in business building basements, underground homes, concrete storm shelters, retaining walls, and anything else that involved concrete.

In 1990, relying on his many years of experience in this type of work Toby presented a plan to a local county commissioner to replace old dilapidated wood bridges and rusted out culverts with new concrete box culverts and concrete wall, steel I-beam bridges. The commissioner quickly realized the economical and time saving advantage of the plan, gave it a thumbs up and thus the bridge company was born!

In the spring of 1993 Toby's son Arlyn joined the company. Several other counties soon realized the advantages of the plan and joined in. Through a lot of hard work and dedication the company has developed into what it is today. To date over 150 projects have been completed on county roads in texas communities not counting the numerous basements, storm shelters, retaining walls, foundations , and other types of concrete structures that have been completed on private properties in Texas and Oklahoma.

We, at Yoder construction believe that our success is a direct blessing from God, whom we serve faithfully. Therefore we strive to do everything we do to the very best of our abilities as we are commanded in Colossians 3:23; Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
